i found that there is plenty of sand. the bag that is intended to hold the sand was struggling. Some of the sand spilled out throughout the box and coated the sand tray in a fine dust. easy enough to wipe away and dumped the sand in the plastic into the tray. the pieces and rocks are super cute just like the picture. its a good size and my rake seemed as sturdy as it could be. i may get a set of rakes and tools eventually, but the rake is good for now. overall, im happy.

I have this in my office and kids and adults use it. Had to get a new one this year because it was so used last year! The kids were like where is the sand box?

I have this mini Zen garden on top of my printer at my desk. I love raking when I have a few minutes to "play". The Buddha is really cute. It is just a fun thing to have around.

I bought this for an anxious friend, she loves it and moreover she uses it all the time. She said it is very relaxing

The sand provided fills the box wonderfully, the rake is the perfect size (very small, but that is what I wanted/expected), and the buddha and bridge knick knacks are heavier than I assumed they would be, making them better overall than my expectations. The only thing I don't like much are the rocks that came with it. I would've been better off picking rocks out of my gravel driveway. I added my own crystals to it and it's got a lovely positive vibe going on in my bedroom now. I suggest this product if you have your own rocks to add.

Everything is plastic. Pretty cheap and small for being $15. And my figure arrived with his head broken off. I know they want you to contact them in those cases but it's not worth going through the return process. Just an unfortunate incident. It's an okay product.
