Stone Age Boy

I bought this as my daughter is learning about the stone age at school. They are reading this together at school. The pictures are bright and colourful and as well as a story there is information in there as to what the stone age people did, what tools they used, how they lived, hunted etc. Great resource for if your child is learning about the stone age.

We were studying Stig of the Dump but used Stone Age Boy for a shorter narrative for pupils to base their narratives on. It was perfect. It is a lovely story and beautifully illustrated. We particularly liked the sections that detailed Stone Age life - so useful for history lessons! Definitely recommend.

Lovely pictures , nice story . My grandson liked it very much

This was purchased for grandchild who was studying this at school. Curious mixture of over simplified story text, and more detailed pictures and text of stone age life. The ideas are suitable for a 6 year old but not th writing.I was NOT impressed by the careless packaging by Amazon as the book arrived crumpled and bent - not ideal for a present!

Great for this autumn term, Year 3 topic at school to visualise and imagine life before written history.

It arrived in very good condition. Just like new.

I bought this book during the summer holidays, as I heard that stone age will be a topic at the beginning of year 3 (KS2, engl primary school), and both, my 7- and 5-year old daughters very much enjoyed the story. It is a nice, easy to understand story that introduces kids to the topic in an interesting way. At the end my younger daughter was excited and wanted to know, if stone age people really existed, still existed, if this was only a dream that the boy had or if it 'happened in real life...
