Great product
The media could not be loaded. Working as it should. No flickering. Works perfect with bulb above (see picture)

Works well in most cases tested
Having read a few reviews - some positive some negative - I went ahead and bought this dimmer plug. Here is my assessment after a few tests:For filament and LED bulbs (make sure LED bulbs are dimmer compatible) the dimmer works well, though it works best for filament bulbs, dimmer-compatible LEDs also works Ok, may be with a few in-between flickers that went away after a slight adjustement twist of the plug knob. For non-dimmer certified LED bulbs which I tested, the dimmer plug may work by stepping down the brightness to half or less in one go with no steps in between (in my case this was satisfactory for existing bulbs).I even tested it with compact fluorescent bulbs (old economy bulbs before LEDs) for some of which it cut down the brightness by about a third before the bulb started flickering and/or going off.The product information clearly states that "Not to be used with Low Voltage or Low energy Lamps" so, if you know what to expect from this dimmer plug you will not be disappointed.

It's better than my first choice!
I opted for the plug in dimmer that was priced a couple of quid more than Amazon's only other choice. I thought with it being a little more money it would be better somhow. But in fact, I was disappointed. The control knob was awkward to turn, and it stopped working in two days.I returned it and ordered the CHEAPER version - and it's far better! Much easier to use and is plainly a better piece of kit. If you want one of these, I recommend the (cheaper!) 'EAGLE' brand.

Doesn't dim lights
Dimming ability doesn't work. Either on full or off completely, somewhere in the middle it flickers constantly.

Good quality product
After reading some reviews about this product, there are a few I would disagree with. One said it worked only once, another said didn't work at all, a dud product, avoid. If it was faulty why didn't they return it. I've got two and they both work perfectly. And I've just purchased another as one of my lamps is a bit too bright, so needs a dimmer. I would definitely recommend this product and it's a great price too.

I received a dud but fixed it
The dimmer I received was faulty - worked for a while, then switched off, then on again if I twiddled the knob. Clearly some kind of thermal or contact issue. I should've returned it but couldn't be bothered, so instead I took it apart, cleaned the potentiometer with contact cleaner and re-soldered it onto the PCB. Now it works fine, but that shouldn't have been necessary, nor is it something everyone can (or should) do.

Works with some of my dimmable LEDs
I have three different types of LED bulbs, all dimmable (I can dim them all via my wall dimmer in the kitchen). When I test these bulbs in this mains socket dimmer, it dims two of them, and flickers the other. So it looks like it dims some LEDs, but not all of them, although it's impossible to tell if it will dim your LED(s) until you try it. The LED that it does dim in made by INTEGRAL, and the other LED that it dims is a filament type (yellow strip when turned off) from one of those outdoor string lights e27 socket. The LED that it doesn't dim, is made by LUMLIFE (BTW, stay away from LUMLIFE as they die/flicker after a few months of use. I've installed 25 of them throughout the house, and after a year and a half, 75% of them developed a fault.)
