Wow! a terrible product from Bahco
Within the packaging the knife arrived in, the knife was in the open position. After removing it from the packaging I attempted to close the blade; I say attempted because I could not close it. I had to use a pair of pliers to depress the retaining spring to be able to close the blade. After oiling every moving part of the knife, it was still virtually impossible to close the blade by hand. The spring is far too strong, even the worlds strongest man would have difficulty to depress the retaining spring to close this blade.I highly DO NOT recommend this knife. Buy something else, anything else but this knife.UPDATE :After 6 months, no change. It is still impossible to depress the lock release mechanism by hand.Priced at over £30, it's real value would be £2 at most. This knife is grossly overpriced and nearly useless. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK.UPDATE 2:I should also add that the build quality is abysmal. A cheap hammered rivet used to hold the blade in place, and poorly finished so you scratch yourself every time you pick it up. Even a cheap chinese knife at 10% of the cost has a better finish than this piece of junk.

really love this knife
really love this knife robust and slim. it fits nice in the pocket. I have had a few got my first 20yr ago but even then it was not cheap for what it is. I did feel like I was being bumped each time I replaced the knife. but its so easy to carry I found myself having it when I needed it and for this fact I missed it when I did not have it !

Dissapointed
Mediocre knife. Bought for jobs around the garden, but for the money not the best knife I have seen, should really be half the price that it is. Locks open ok and stays shut when not being used, but when locked open there is a little bit of lateral play in the blade, and I can only think that this will not improve over time. The blade edge is a little bit of a mess, inconsistent sharpening and angles but I can sort that out. So overall, a knife that will do for what I got it for, namely gardening, but should have been cheaper for the quality.
