Worth it! Compact and efficient!
This little machine is great! It's easy to use, works like a charm making perfect loaves of bread and dough for other uses (dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, etc.), and looks fantastic on my kitchen counter too. It's easy to clean up and not nearly as loud as other machines I've used in the past. Cuisinart's quality and reputation is a huge plus too. Loved this rig so much that my Mom bought one too and swears by it. This item is WELL worth the money. Highly recommend!

Easy to use, makes delicious bread when recipe done right
I’m so glad that I bought this when they were selling out quickly due to the Covid19 crisis. I’ve made about a half dozen or so loaves of bread in the past three weeks and overall have had excellent results. First, I saw several reviews that said the bread maker didn’t come with a paddle. I thought the same thing at first - please note the paddle is taped to the inside of a cardboard piece that protects the inside of the maker from scratching. They should make this more obvious as I can see how people could overlook it and accidentally throw it away.On to the maker’s attributes, it has a nice look to it on the counter and it is compact enough that I don’t mind leaving it out 24/7 in my smallish kitchen. I will note that I have NOT used the recipes in the book that came with it. They seemed a bit fussy and with no reviews on the recipes themselves I didn’t trust them. I bought a couple of bread machine bread cookbooks that were recommended to me - in particular the Bread Lovers Bread Machine Cookbook. I’ve also found recipes on King Arthur flour’s website. For those that are having trouble with the bread machine making loaves properly, I suppose it could be the bread maker malfunctioning, but I imagine it may be more likely that people are not measuring correctly or putting the ingredients in the machine in the right order. For my first loaf I knew I overmeasured the water just a bit but figured no biggie it will be more moist. Nope - it was too airy (but still pretty good)! Next time I did the same recipe and was more precise on my measuring and it was perfect! Another time my bread didn’t rise properly and was dense but I didn’t blame the bread machine - I know I messed up that time because it was honey bread and I forgot to put the honey in with the liquid ingredients before the flour was added so I ended up putting the honey on last which I’m sure messed up the yeast activity. That bread however was still good and edible just too dense. The other tip I’ll give is to make sure to measure flour properly. I didn’t realize this was an issue for so many people but all of the flour books stress this point so also make sure you know how to measure flour without packing it. If there is way too much flour I’m sure the bread won’t turn out. Conversely, the bread books tell you that if your dough is too moist during the mixing process, that you should add flour during the machines’ kneading process. During my very first loaf I could tell it was likely too moist through the window but I was too scared to interfere with the process. On my last loaf I made which was a Hawaiian sweet bread I could tell it was too moist so I added flour every couple of minutes during the second knead until it made a smoother dough ball that held together. The bread turned out delicious! In summary, do your research on how to optimize the results you get from your bread machine and enjoy your baking process and results!!

Good Brand, Good Size, Good Price!
Update: I’ve had this for two weeks and I’ve made about six loaves of bread. No problems with machine at all. All bread came out great. Used Bread Dad’s recipes. The nut, fruit dispenser is a bit touchy. If I close it with too much effort, the nuts and fruits will dump out. They still get mixed in, just not at the right time.Received the his today! Spent time reviewing machines, and I wanted a machine that would add the nuts or fruit automatically. I didn’t want to pay $400 for a big machine. This one is a good size and easy to keep on the counter. It’s easy to take the pan out and put back in. It’s easy to set up the machine, and worked flawlessly! No problems at all! I used a white bread recipe from a site called “Bread Dad”. Tons of easy to do recipes! Tips etc! Can’t wait to try more recipes!

Wonderful! simple to use, great results every time!
we stocked up a lot on staples due to the pandemic. granted we do a lot of baking in our household but with so much flour and cornmeal i did not want any of it to go to waste. problem is time, baking from scratch takes time and right now we haven't a lot of that to spare. so i searched, read up and bought this our first bread maker.to start with this doesn't just make bread. cakes, rolls, jelly, etc. the machine looks nice is pretty compact with only two parts, the pan and the mixing tine. the instructions are well written and easy to understand. even if you lose them printed on the machine is the information you need for selecting the proper mode.to use it, it is this simple. just dump your ingredients into the pan. drop the pan into the bread maker. press the first button for what you plan to make, there are 14 choices. if making bread then next choose if you want a light, medium or dark colored crust. if not making bread then you just press the start button. if making a larger bread recipe e.g.2lbs then you press the size button for that otherwise that's all there is to it.once started it mixes everything, no need to let anything rise etc. once it is time it then bakes the contents. you can remove the mixing tine before baking starts but honestly it is far easier and less messy to pull it out of whatever it is you have baked once done. that said no matter what you are baking when done removing the contents is very easy. the coating used on the pan means when you turn it upside down the contents just slide on out. then as said remove the tine, remember it is hot!a nice part is that there is a power safety. in the event the machine loses electricity/power it remembers what it was doing for up to 15 minutes so it can start back up where it was when the power went out. clean up is virtually nil. if doing a larger bread batch 2lbs sometimes it will rise up and just touch the inside of the glass viewing window. then you'll need to wipe that part down. but otherwise the only parts you need clean are the pan and tine.i have nothing negative whatsoever to say about this machine. i could not be happier with every aspect of this bread maker. well made, well priced, simple to use, little to clean up and never a bad result! I really like this and if i could give it six stars i would. i can recommend this to anyone thinking of doing more cooking at home or who just likes fresh food.
