MV-90 Magnetic Dryer Vent Coupling

This item works as intended. Installation was not complicated. Make sure you have all your measurements done beforehand including all prerequisites. Included instruction were straight forward. Used Magvent website for further videos and photos. Quality of item is excellent. Strong magnet for air tight fit. My dryer now takes less time to dry cloths.

Absolutely amazing product that excedded my expections on my given dryer installation, which is in a very tight "niche" with overhead cabinets, which made it nearly impossible to get to the duct exhaust to connect it let alone tighten the band clamps. This is a quality product that was very easy to install and has now forever corrected my difficult condition to be able to clean and service the duct exhaust with ease, Thanks for a quality product that works as its intended!

I installed the MV-90 to solve a long-standing issue: a side-exhaust dryer in a tight laundry space. Previously, I used a double-elbow setup with semi-rigid ducting — functional, but frustrating. Every time I had to move the machine? Nightmare, as I’d have to reattach the duct. This saved me a few extra inches over my previous setup — and in a tight-fitting laundry closet, every inch matters for layout flexibility.The magnetic coupling creates a strong seal without needing perfect alignment, and it lets me easily disconnect/reconnect the dryer without wrestling the duct. Not needing extra slack meant I could trim the duct to a more precise fit, so airflow should be better too — hopefully translating into faster drying, less heat build-up, and reduced lint accumulation.One thing that threw me — and a heads-up for others who may need a longer duct run: the included short wall duct isn’t clamped, it’s press-fitted into the mount (at least in the current version at the time of writing this). Technically, you could purchase the MV-FLEX piece along with the MV-90 receiver, but that was more than I wanted to spend. The fact that the wall side isn’t designed for easy duct replacement wasn’t mentioned anywhere, and I absolutely needed to attach a longer hose for my setup. I made it work by trimming a male-end piece of semi-rigid ducting and securing it with a spare clamp. It’s held firm and performs exactly as needed.Is it cheap? No. But if you’re in a tight spot or just tired of duct frustration, it’s a smart upgrade.

Our laundry room is just wide enough for a washer and dryer to sit right up next to each other. When we need to get behind them it was a big process. I put them both on wheels and installed this vent adapter for the dryer so it’s super easy to move back and forth now. This is such a simple product, but is solid, well made, and the magnet is strong enough that I’m confident in it, but not so strong that it would be hard to pull away.

TLDR: I'll never own another dryer without a MagVent - buy it.This is the second MagVent I've purchased. First was a 180 install, this one is a 90. Both work flawlessly and solve the biggest headache with a dryer--that darn vent hose (and periodically getting in to clean the thing). A MagVent makes the install and any future cleaning effortless. Very few products nowadays exceed your expectations - this one does. Great company, outstanding support, and a tremendous product.Yes, it's more expensive than that generic vent hose you can buy at your local hardware store. But why struggle with that? For a little bit more you'll have something that'll put a smile on your face every time you need to get behind your dryer. Seriously--when's the last time you smiled because of a dryer hose? And you've said to yourself "Boy, am I glad I bought this! This is SO cool..."Just buy it--stop reading reviews at this point, and buy it. You'll be glad you did.

This vent is very well made and sturdy. My only complaint is that the section that goes on the dryer split a bit when I was tightening the clamp, but it still works ok. Due to the fact that the hole for our vent is in our floor, we had to put a block of wood behind the vent to attach it to the wall, but rest of the install was pretty easy.

This is a quality product that really does what it says. Many washer/dryer locations are cramped, to say the least. Mine is a closet-type arrangement and there is no room for dryer exhaust hoses to snake around without a major kink point and this was causing venting issues where clothes wouldn’t dry, the dryer was giving error codes, etc.I struggled many times installing new hoses and they would tear on account of the cramped space I was placing them. Eventually, I came across this item and it made all the difference. I would have liked to have mounted the receiving piece on the wall like they show but there wasn’t room, it is that tight. All I had to do was make sure my connections were good against the dryer side and the exhaust pipe side and got the magnetic connectors in the same general place, shoved the dryer back and presto, it worked great. The profile is thinner at the connection than the hoses, and that is key. This way the hoses can meander as they want behind the dryer and the connection doesn’t bind up. It didn’t even need to be mounted to a wall, the connection just snapped together free form.This is a quality product and if you can’t seem to get your dryer vent issue solved, I’d bet this would do it in almost all cases. Short of having a professional make a custom connection, this will get it done.

I wanted to replace my overlong flexible dryer duct pipe with rigid or semi-rigid, but didn't want to flex this replacement every time I pull out the dryer. The Magvent was relatively easy to install, and works exactly as advertised. I'm particularly impressed by how the magnets self-align when the dryer is pushed back. I can't detect any leakage.
