Terrific mini pancake maker; easy to use and easy cleanup!
Really loving this mini electric pancake maker. I used it yesterday for the first time and despite a few quirks, fell in love with the miniature 1/2 dollar sized pancakes it created... enough to overlook the quirks and give it a 5-star rating.First quirk: Make sure the unit is used on a surface that can take the heat, unlike a regular electric griddle that has feet that keep the bottom from contacting the surface, this griddle will have contact with the surface, and the bottom gets hot. I used it on a counter with a mat that can hold up to 450 degrees of heat, to protect my counter and that worked out well.Second quirk: The heat of the multiple of batter holders is uneven. Some sections are apparently closer to the heating element in the interior of the unit, and batter placed in those sections will cook faster than those not near the heating element. After 2 batter pours I was able to determine the difference and simply poured the batter in the coolest areas first and the hottest areas last; this worked perfectly.Initially, I was worried about when to turn the pancakes: would the little bubbles that indicate when to turn them show up? Yes, they did, plus, the non-stick surface works like a dream, I could simply prod one end of the pancake and flip it over quite easily... I did not have a spatula small enough, but used a wooden toothpick & a flat wooden coffee stirring stick and that worked out well because these are tiny pancakes and the cooking was solid. I used a recipe for twelve pancakes and ended up with over 30 mini pancakes. Cleaning the unit was easy, again thanks to the nonstick coating. I made plain pancakes, but can't wait to make scallion pancakes, spinach blitzs and more. What a great addtion to anyone home chef's kitchen! Great unit, excellent value!

Works well once you get the hang of flipping the tiny pancakes
Works well, except flipping can be challenging. Would be 5* if it had a lid and could be flipped like a waffle iron.

Adorable Pancakes, Easy Cleanup
I used the ULTICOR Mini Pancake Maker to make mini Dutch Baby pancakes for a brunch I hosted for Mother's Day. I easily poured my batter into each the indentations, slightly overfilling on a couple here and there. The whole surface of the pancake maker gets hot, not just the indentations, so I found it easy to clean up my spills once the pancakes started to cook. While the instructions caution against using metal with the device, I used the included metal forks to turn over my pancakes without issue. I'm not sure that there is another utensil that will work as well as these do. I was gentle while turning over each pancake, and the forks did not scrape up the surface of the maker. While making the pancakes is somewhat time consuming, I didn't find it to be a longer process than making regular sized pancakes with the same amount of batter. After pouring all of them out, I didn't have to wait long before needing to flip the pancakes over. I repeated the process again and again until all the batter was gone. It requires some patience, as not a lot of multi-tasking could be done while I was making the pancakes.Cleanup was SUPER EASY! After the cooking surface cooled, I was able to wipe off what little residue remained with a damp paper towel. I usually don't care for kitchen appliances that I can't run the parts through the dishwasher, but this was so easy to clean, I'll make an exception. This maker created such cute little Dutch Baby pancakes, and I can't wait to try it out with both regular pancake and crepe batter. Everyone loved them, and the size of the finished product is great for kids and adults alike.

A lot of fun if you use it right.
First of all, don't even think of using this mini pancake maker unless you have some spray cooking oil to make sure nothing sticks. Secondly, have patience and wait for the bubbles to show on the top before you try to turn the pancakes over. Also, it's best to use small tongs to turn the pancakes over (once they have firmed up on the top facing upward!) because you'll drive yourself crazy. Trying to use a spatula and probably make a Miss. If you do those things, and have patience, you can make a nice batch of Dutch baby or silver dollar pancakes. I ordered this because I have such fond memories of my father making us what we called "silver dollar pancakes" on weekend mornings. My siblings and I would compete to see how many dollars worth of mini pancakes we could eat. I would usually order "$5 worth" but the record in our house was $2 worth eating by my brother one memorable Sunday morning. Of course, that was probably only the equivalent of four big pancakes, but still... We were impressed! By the way, little kids love ordering up how many pancakes they want calling them and treating them as if they were silver dollar pancakes. It makes for a fun, interactive breakfast experience. And if you have not had Dutch baby pancakes, look up the recipe, they are puffier than regular pancakes and very delicious.

Easy cooking!
I have been anxiously waiting for this ULTICOR Mini Pancake Maker to arrive and immediately went to making mini pancakes with my daughter. It did heat up really quick which was a bonus and I used cooking spray between batches to help ensure nothing stuck which it did not. We made sprinkle pancakes, then chocolate chip muffin mix, and even a homemade cottage cheese/protein powder pancake. All cooked throughly and nothing stuck to the maker. The only confusing part was it said not to use metal utensils but it included metal tong things which was odd. Also, the instructions say during various phases of use the light would light up or go off and it stayed on for us during the entire use.She said she rated this 10 out of 5 stars and enjoyed using it with me.
